This large house for long term rentals in France is a converted wine maker´s house. There are five double bedrooms plus a twin bedroom and various occasional beds to suit children. There is a gorgeous swimming pool with a newly laid lawn area to the side. The house was built for cooking, eating, swimming and relaxing.
- The kitchen is simply amazing. It contains very high-spec equipment, including a large fridge/freezer, oven, hob, dishwasher and lots of kitchen gadgets! There is a washing machine available too.
- Patio doors from the kitchen open out onto the terrace where the views across the vineyards to the mountains are fantastic.
- The interior of the house has been completely renovated. The entire downstairs floor has been converted into an open living space with a large sofa, armchairs, a piano and a huge dining table.
- There is a cozy TV lounge/library on the ground floor.
- There are 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms:
- Bedroom 1 is a very spacious double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom (with free-standing bath, shower, WC and wash basin). There is a small balcony with views out over the swimming pool and the vineyards beyond.
- Bedroom 2 is fitted with a double bed, antique wardrobe and dressing table. The bedroom overlooks the terrace and swimming pool.
- Bedroom 3 comes with a a standard double bed and a dressing room.
- Bedroom 4 is fitted with a King-size bed (which can be separated into 2 single beds). The bedroom has a large antique wardrobe, dressing table and bedside cabinets. There is a small balcony with views up towards the medieval village.

Last visited May 2024. If you are searching for a spacious property for long term lets in France, then this house in St Pons is a fantastic choice. Recently refurbished to a very high standard, this house has it all: fantastic views, plenty of character, a swimming pool, garden, large spaces for entertaining, lots of room for accommodating visitors, close to the beaches and surrounded by wonderful countryside. It doesn´t come much better than this in the South of France.

Area activities
This large house for long term lets in France is 15 mins to the coast, and there are several lovely port towns and beaches nearby including Bouzigues, the oyster centre of the region. The Herault river is 5 mins away, and the large, arty town of Pezenas is a 10 minute drive. Pezenas has a great market, as does Gignac, 15 mins to the north.
Built up on a rocky spur, St Pons de Mauchien is one of those circular villages known as "Circulades" in the region. The pattern of streets in the centre of the village revolve around the church.
Other transport
There are TGV train stations in the nearby towns of Montpellier, Agde and Beziers. A regular bus service runs from Montpellier to Pezenas, (stopping in the nearby village of Montagnac).
