This lovely long term rental property in South France is close to the Mediterranean coast in the village of Sauvian. This long term rental comes with its own swimming pool and provides spacious accommodation for a large family. Sauvian is situated close to Beziers and is just 10 minutes from the beach. The village of Sauvian is located within 50 minutes of 5 budget airports and is situated close to the A9 autoroute. There are TGV train stations in the nearby cities of Beziers and Narbonne. This long term rental in South of France, also comes with Wifi internet and air conditioning heating/cooling.
The property is available to rent on a long term basis from €1500 per month + bills.

To the front of the property there is a garden with lawn, with a 250 year old olive tree and a fig tree. The interior of the house comprises 6 Bedrooms, an open plan living room and a generous kitchen.
Lounge
The large lounge has :
- a very big white leather sofa and you can watch English Sky TV or French TV from the wall mounted television.
- there is also a secondary mezzanine lounge with a further large sofa and giant bean bags where you can also watch Sky TV, French TV or a DVD.
- there is a set of double French doors which open up from the lounge and dining area onto the shaded terrace.
Kitchen
The kitchen has:
- a large double American refrigerator and Freezer with filtered water dispenser and ice dispenser (both crushed and cubed), as well as a secondary large fridge and freezer so you can store many cold drinks and food at the same time.
- there is a gas and electric hob, oven, microwave, breakfast table and chairs, highchair, childrens´ plates/cups and glasses.
- a good supply of plates, glasses and cutlery, as well as many cooking utensils such as a George Foreman grill, steamer, boiled egg maker, slow cooker, and Nespresso coffee machine as well as Kettle and Cafetiere.
The kitchen opens up onto the front terrace where you will find seating and both a covered and open terraces along with a dining table and chairs. In the utility room there is a large pantry, as well as a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board, as well as a further toilet and separate shower. The utility room has an entry door from the side of the property
Ground floor
- there is a family bathroom which comprises a toilet, bath with shower (with a solid shower door) and sink.
- there is an office
- a double bedroom with king size bed and air conditioning.
First floor
- there is a toilet with sink, and a family bathroom with a separate shower and bath, bidet and double sinks.
- Bedroom 1 comes with a super king size bed and air conditioning.
- Bedrooms 2 has a single bed.
- Bedroom 3 has a king size bed with air conditioning.
- Bedroom 4 is a single bed with air conditioning.
- Bedroom 5 has a single bed which extends into a twin bed. This bedroom doesn´t have air conditioning.
Outside
- large swimming pool (12m x 6m), with Roman steps and 2m depth at deep end
- next to the pool there is a lovely pool house with toilet, shower, sink, drinks fridge, electric sockets, lighting for evening relaxation as well as lights in the pool for night swimming.
- you can get out of the sun and relax with a cold drink in the large pool seating terrace area overlooking the pool with sofa, chairs and 2 tables.
- the large drive can comfortably park 6 cars without obscuring your view from the terraces.

Long term rental South France - Our opinion:
Last visited September 2020. Long term rentals in France do not come much better than this lovely house in Sauvian. Located near the coast, sleeping up to 12 and coming with its own swimming pool, that has been fitted with a safety barrier. Whether house hunting or on a year out this property is ideal.
This beautiful Mediterranean villa is fully enclosed within a private walled garden behind entry gates and with plenty of secure off road parking in the drive.

Area activities
Sauvian is located just 7km from the Mediterranean beaches. Beziers airport is located very close to this long term villa rental and Beziers TGV train station is just 8kms from the property. The city of Beziers is one of the most up and coming places to live in the South of France. The city is undergoing a lot of renovation, with major investmnts taking place in the infrstructure of the city. The centre of Beziers has a lovely Old Town with plenty of period mansion houses, good restaurants and lots of little shops.
The village of Sauvian has an excellent Maternelle school (kindergarten) and primary school. There are also good local colleges and Lycees in the surrounding area - all served by bus service. There are 4 Doctors in the village, a dentist and a post office. There is also a Bowling alley, cash point, 2 supermarkets, Pizza takeaways, good restaurants, a wine bar, newsagent, a butchers, 2 beauticians, florists and many associations and clubs (tennis club and gymnasium). Sauvian has a weekly market every Friday and there are a number of garages for car purchase, repair and petrol.
Sauvian is a nice village and a popular place to live. It has a good range of local services which means that you do not need to jump into your car every time you need a bottle of milk or a visit to the Dotor´s. Sauvian is a very friendly place, retaining a real village feel to it. Sauvian is close enough to the towns and beach to get there in under 10 minutes, but far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet during the summer time.
Other transport
There is a TGV train station in Beziers (8km), with regular services up to Paris and down to Barcelona.

Truly divine
We very much enjoyed our stay here, the swimming pool with provided equipment was marvelous and we all enjoyed a game of boules. Paintings in every room added considerably, the view of the garden, admittedly not the valleys, was sublime, I must say it is a pleasure to stay in such a grand house. The information was very useful, we made plans to go to the equestrian centre but unfortunately never got round to it. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your villa. The surrounding are truly divine.

Wonderful
My husband and I spent two fabulous weeks in the Villa with our three children - two girls aged 13 & four and boy aged seven. I can safely say we all had a wonderful time and certainly felt there was something in the villa for each of us throughout our holiday. When we first arrived we instantly fell in love with the villa and the garden, and the children immediately stripped off and dived in to the pool to cool off after the long journey. The pool, BBQ and ‘sunset bench` became the focal points of our holiday. One thing that instantly struck us was how quiet it is, the only things we could hear were the Cicadas, bird song and the occasional sneaky red sqirrel dropping a nut from the almond tree! Absolute bliss! Another thing that we were surprised by was that the villa, pool and garden are completely secluded and not overlooked in any way, this is a rarity these days and made us really feel like we could be on Necker Island! Also, when it was too hot for our four yr old to be out we retreated to living room and watched dvds on the the sofa for a couple of hours. Overall, a faultless, fantastic holiday! Thank you.

One month deposit to be paid at time of reservation (this will become the security deposit for your stay). Rent to be paid in advance on the first day of the month (for rentals of 3 months or less, the rent is to be paid in full prior to arrival). The utility bills are to be paid in addition to the monthly rent. There is a monthly provision of €300 towards the utility bills. References may be required. Minimum stay is normally 3 months.
