The cottage sits on a 3 acre plot (12,290m2)The surrounding countryside is simply idyllic - with beautiful Provence villages such as Cotignac, Villecroze and Sillans-la-Cascade.
The monthly rental price of €1800 per month + bills also takes into account of the higher rental prices for the summer months

Outside: there is an enclosed garden and a covered terrace (perfect for lazy lunches or evening meals. The Owner of the property has a large swimming pool (15mx4m) which is available for use (open late-May to September). The extensive grounds are mainly laid to lawn and also feature many poplar trees.

Last visited: September 2020. What a wonderful place to spend a few months living in Provence, France. This comfortable 2 bed stone cottage in the Var provides excellent accommodation for a couple, with enough space for visits from friends and family. Salernes is a lovely village - very friendly and with a good range of local services.

The prices quoted are based on a 6 month rental period. Higher prices may apply to rentals over the summer period and for shorter rentals.
Utility bills and communal taxes are payable in addition to the rent.
One month deposit to be paid at time of reservation(this will become the security deposit for your stay). Rent to be paid in advance on the first day of the month (for rentals of 3 months or less, the rent is to be paid in full prior to arrival). Utility bills to be paid in addition to the monthly rent (estimated cost: €175 pcm for electricity and water). References maybe required. Minimum stay is normally 3 months.
The village of Salernes has a good selection of shops & restaurants. There is a weekly market held throughout the year. Salernes also has a primary school and there is a secondary school in the nearby commune of Lorgues.
The nearest beaches are 1 hour away at St Raphael and St Tropez.
The beautiful Gorges du Verdon is 40km to the north of Salernes. This is a great spot for walking, picnics and hiring canoes.
The nearest train station is located at Les Arcs Draguignan (25km).
The nearest airports to Salernes, Provence, are located at Nice and Marseille (both 1 hour 10 mins drive).
