Le Picpoul villa for long term rentals is located in the famous wine-making village of Pinet - the home of the Picpoul de Pinet white wine from the local Languedoc region. The beach at Marseillan Plage is 15 minutes from the villa. The villa is mainly laid out on one level and comes with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, is fully air conditioned (reversible for heating) and has a wood burner and underfloor heating.
Le Picpoul is available for monthly rentals between mid-November to mid-April from €1250 per month + bills. Pets accepted through prior agreement.

The villa is located a few steps away from the local village amenities on a quiet residential road. The villa has electronic gates with video security, Wi-Fi and electronic shutters throughout.
- You enter the villa into a halway, which provides access to the living room, kitchen and to the bedrooms. There is also a guest WC.
- The spacious living room area. The lounge area comes with a Smart TV, wood-burning stove and underfloor heating for the winter months.
- The fully-equipped kitchen has everything that you will need for your stay. There is an oven, hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, espresso machine and microwave. There is a full set of plates, cutlery, glasses and cooking utensils. The villa also comes with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
- Bedroom 1 comes with a double bed, wardrobes and air conditioning. The en-suite bathroom has a shower cubicle, WC and wash basin.
- Bedroom 2 is a double bedroom with bedside tables and fitted wardrobes.
- Bedroom 3 is a twin bedroom.
- Bedroom 4 is a double bedroom.
- The family bathroom comes with a corner bath with overhead shower, WC and wash basin

- The swimming pool is 9m x 5m and is normally open from mid-May to the end of September
- The terrace surrounding the swimming pool comes with plenty of sun loungers and parasols.
- There is a covered terrace with a dining table that expands for up to 12 people.
- Across from the pool there is the games room/guest house which offers a high-quality sofa bed, table football, a kitchenette with sink and fridge and a bathroom. Ideal for teenagers or as a grand-parental suite.

Le Picpoul can be rented on a monthly basis between mid-November to mid-April. The minimum stay is 2 months. In addition to the rent, there is a monthly provision of €300 towards the electricity, water and Wi-Fi. Firewood to be purchased separately. There is a €200 end of stay cleaning fee for guests with pets.

If you want to find a rental close to the beaches in Southern France, then Le Picpoul villa is a good choice. Located in the famous Picpoul de Pinet wine-making village, the villa also provides easy access to the fishing villages along the Etang du Thau, a salt-water lake which produces the best oysters and mussels in France. You can literally eat the oysters fresh from the boat. Pinet is also conveniently located for exploring Montpellier, Beziers and the historic towns of Pezenas, Agde and Marseillan.

Area activities
The village of Pinet is located 10 km from the Mediterranean sea and close to the the shores of the Etang du Thau salt water lagoon, where the famous Bouzigues oysters and mussels are grown. The lake is the largest body of water in the Occitanie region of Southern France and is separated by a thin strip of sandbar from the Mediterranean sea.
The Picpoul de Pinet vineyards are famous for their white wines made from the Picpoul grape. The coastal location is perfect for growing crisp white wines, which are delicious when combined with fresh seafood and shellfish. The village of Pinet is surrounded in all directions by acres of vineyards. In the village there are two wine Domaines selling their wines directly to the public (both within walking distance of the villa). Pinet also has a boulangerie, fresh market/coffee shop, a corner store, pizza restaurant, playground, and a weekly fresh market on Tuesdays.
The nearby villages of Florensac and Pomerols are both a short 5 minutes drive and have Spar and SuperU supermarkets respectively, plus garages, restaurants and pizzeria.
Other local places to visit include:
- The historic town of Pézenas, is only 15 minutes away and has a famous Saturday market. Pezenas can be reached by a public bus service from Pinet.
- Béziers, capital of the Languedoc wine region and the oldest continually inhabited town in France
- Sète, the stunning Mediterranean port town, built around the rocky outcrop of Mont St Clair prominomtary. Sete is home to many festivals throughout the year, including a Dance music festival, World music festival and the not-to-be-missed, Water Jousting festival.
- Montpellier, an ancient university town and medical centre. Montpellier has a beautiful old town centre and in the last few years has become the fastest growing city in France.
- Marseillan, is a harbour town on the Etang du Thau. In the centre of Marseillan, you will find many harbour-side cafes and restaurants, as well as an excellent market for fish and local produce. The sandy beaches at nearby Marseillan Plage, provide the base for a lively Mediterranean beach resort with restaurants, theme parks, watersports, pleasure boat rides and sea fishing trips etc.
Other transport
There are local bus services from Pinet to the local towns of Florensac, Agde, Marseillan, Meze and Pezenas. Onward bus services from these locations take you to Beziers and Montpellier

Driving directions
The village of Pinet is located in the southern Occitanie region of France and is 30 mins south of Montpellier, 20 mins north of Beziers. and 15 mins from the Mediterranean coast.
To reach the village, you should exit the A9 motorway at junction 34. Follow the D13 to St Thibery then follow the signs to Florensac - Pomerols and then Pinet.
