Apartment Paul Riquet is a stunning 2 bed apartment for rent in the centre of Beziers in South France. The apartment is situated opposite the newly refurbished Les Halles market in Beziers - a food hall featuring pop-up restaurants, market stalls, bars and bistros. The local neighbourhood is the most popular area of Beziers - it is safe, has beautiful restored buildings and plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops. The apartment provides easy walking distance to all the facilities and services of Beziers, including the TGV train station.
Beziers is a city of 80,000 inhabitants situated close to the Mediterranean coast in Southern France. Beautiful sandy beaches can be found just 10km from the city centre. Beziers is one of the oldest towns in France and is famous for Rugby, Wine and the Feria - its raucous summer festival. Beziers has been transformed in recent years, with money pouring in from property investors and developers, especially into the central Cathedral district, where this apartment is located.
The apartment is available for long term rentals of up to 2-3 months between October to April from €1250 euros per month + bills.

The apartment is located on the second floor of an 18th century apartment building. There is a beautiful ornate stone staircase up to the apartment (no elevator).
- The front door leads to the entrance lobby, which provides access to the living room, bedroom 2 and a corridor down to the bathroom, kitchen and master bedroom suite.
- The living room is beautifully furnished and comes with high ceilings, full height French windows and crisp white walls. There is an original marble fireplace, sofa, a large TV (with Netflix), a music player, dining table and mid-century style sideboard.
- There is a workstation in the lounge and the apartment comes with a fast internet connection.
- From the balcony you have views over the beautiful 19th Century indoor market.
- Bedroom 2 is fitted with a single bed.
- There is a luxurious shower room, with walk-in shower, stylish wash basin and heated towel rail. There is a separate WC.
- The well equipped kitchen comes with a large fridge, a hob, an oven, a toaster, a kettle, a coffee maker, a dishwasher, a freezer and a microwave. The apartment has a full set of plates, glasses, cutlery and cooking utensils.
- The Master bedroom is a beautiful room with a vintage tiled floor, original marble fireplace and ornate fitted wardrobes. There is a King-size double bed, a small writing desk and 2 armchairs. The en-suite shower room combines modern fittings with exposed stone walls.

This apartment can be rented for 2-3 months between October to May. In addition to the monthly rent, there is a provision of €250 per month towards the electricity, water, Wi-Fi, heating and local taxes. Minimum stay is 2 months. Due to the numerous pieces of artwork in the apartment, all guests are required to have insurance (travel or tenant's insurance) to cover accidental damage to the contents.

Beautiful apartment for rent central Beziers France - our opinion
Last visited: January 2025. This is a stunning apartment, full of light, high ceilings, lots of original features and some beautiful art work. The apartment has everything that you will need for a comfortable stay and comes furnished with high quality linen sheets and luxurious towels. The kitchen is very well equipped and the apartment has a fast internet connection. The apartment is centrally located and all the main shops and services can reached on foot within 5 minutes.
Beziers is a great spot to be located in the South of France, with wide avenues, mazy side streets and beautiful town houses. The Mediterranean coast is just 10km away (with a local bus service running throughout the year). Beziers has excellent transport connections, with a local airport, TGV train station and 2 motorways passing the city. Northern Spain can be reached in 1 hour and you can be in Provence in 90 mins, Cote d'Azur 3 hours and Paris in under 4 hours by train.

Area activities
There is so much to do in Beziers, from strolling along the beautiful alleyways of the Old Town and shopping in the small shops or visiting one of the many restaurants, go to the theater or visit Friday´s flower market or Saturday´s antique market. During the summer, the city is buzzing with activities with various festivals and music events.
The Mediterranean coast is a short drive or bus journey away and offers fantastic beaches, ranging from wild beaches in Serignan and Vendres to chic promenades in Grau d´Agde and Valras plage.
Beziers, is the capital of the World´s largest wine regions and most of the local wineries are open to visitors and you can try their wines. A tour of the region´s villages is also recommended.
Pezenas which is a fantastic little town with a rich cultural life inspired by Moliere, has a large market every Saturday and a food & wine festival every Friday night during July and August. Pezenas has over 60 antique shops and over 30 restaurants.
Agde is one of France´s oldest cities and lies at the river Herault´s outflow. The town has some nice restaurants and beautiful beaches. Cap Agde has the Mediterranean´s largest marina and there is plenty of activities from water sports to amusement parks and an excellent golf course.
Other transport
There is a fast TGV train from Paris direct to Beziers, that takes about 4 hours.
Airports
Beziers airport is very easy to get to, direct flights with Ryanair from Bristol, Edinburgh, London Luton, Stansted, Manchester and Stockholm (Skavsta).
Montpellier Airport is 35 kilometers away and has several routes to Sweden and Copenhagen with Norwegian Air and to the UK with Easyjet (Bristol, Gatwick and Luton).
Driving directions
Beziers is well connected to the local motorway network, with both the A75 and A9 motorways joining just west of the town.

Blissful
It was blissful - we really enjoyed it The property is in one of the best locations you could hope for in Beziers. It is absolutely opposite Les Halles - the covered market which has recently been renovated. It was easy walking distance to everything and the apartment is immaculate. It is beautifully decorated and everything was spotless.

Beautiful apartment
As all previous reviews state, this is a beautiful apartment and Gloria works tirelessly to make sure visitors get the best experience, offering lots of restaurant suggestions as well as places to visit. There is so much to do and see! Our favourite was the cathedral and they have created a lovely walkway down to the Ponte Vieux and along the river to the canal du Midi and the 9 Locks. Another favourite was Allées Paul Riquet and the Poets Garden. There is a lot of art work to see and not just the great pieces in the apartment. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this lovely city and look forward to returning.

Apartment in a very central location
The location is great. The apartment is very modern, tastefully done within an old, beautiful building with lots of character. There are lots of places and eateries within walking distance. Handy for the train station too. Only 20 mins drive to some lovely beaches. Good wi-fi and extensive T.V. channels.
One month deposit to be paid at time of reservation. Minimum rental period is 2 months. Rent to be paid in advance at the start of each month. The rent excludes internet, electricity, water and Wi-Fi (there is a monthly provision of €250 towards the utility bills).
