The area is surrounded by vineyards and countryside as far as the eye can see. The house is situated about 12 km north of Béziers and 2 km from the village Murviel-les-Béziers. This restored barn was formerly part of an active vineyard and oozes charm throughout. It sleeps up to 6 comfortably in its 3 bedrooms and comes with a newly installed efficient central heating system.

The prices for this long term lets property in South of France do not include the utility costs. There is a monthly provision of €250 towards the electricity, heating, water, WiFi and local taxes. During the winter months of November to February, the provision increases to €400 per month (to cover the costs of the heating fuel). Minimum stay is 3 months. The property is not available for Long term rentals during July and August. Rentals in September and June will be from €1500 per month + bills

Last visited: July 2023. If you are looking for peace and quiet and stunning views, then this beautiful property near Murviel-les-Beziers is perfect. Although you may feel cut off from the rest of the world, you have restaurants, shops and bars just 2km away. The large town of Beziers is 12kms from the property and the Mediterranean coast can be reached in 20-25 mins.

Area activities
Murviel les Beziers lies between the mountains and Mediterranean beaches and is surrounded by vineyards. The village comes with a selection of boulangeries, a butcher, a tabac/presse, pharmacy, florist, hairdressers, bank, two bars and a weekly village market. There are 3 local wine cellars in the village.
Only five minutes by car to fresh water swimming in the River Orb or 25 minutes to sandy beaches. Beziers Airport is just 15 minutes drive from the house. Murviel Les Beziers is 30 minutes from beautiful sandy beaches and 15 minutes inland to the foothills of the Massif Central. The surrounding area abounds in history, including prehistoric sites, Roman ruins and Cathar castles. The village lies between beautiful Montpellier and ancient Carcassonne, each 1 hour by car. The nearby Mediterranean coast is famous for its abundant seafood and shellfish. The tree lined Canal du Midi is just 15 minutes by car.
Murviel les Beziers has many fetes and festivals during the summer, the most famous of which is the ´Petetas´ - during the months of July and August, the shopkeepers and tradesmen (and many local residents) adorn their shops, properties and pavements with life-size dolls of their trade and profession.

Petit paradis a Murviel les Beziers ou il faut aller !
Une tres belle renovation comprenant 3 chambres dont une avec une salle d`eau. Une piece a vivre confortable. Des abords tres bien entretenus. Une piscine agreable. J`adore le lever du soleil sur cette propriete, et le calme de la fin d`apres midi. Nous avons egalement profite d`une terrasse pour nos dejeuners. | A very nice renovation with 3 bedrooms, one of which has a bathroom. A comfortable living room. Very well maintained surroundings. A pleasant swimming pool. I love the sunrise on this property, and the calm of the late afternoon. We also took advantage of a terrace for our lunches.

Idealement situe ,au calme ,avec une tres belle vue
Appartement situe dans un Mas ( ancienne ferme viticole dans le midi ) , tres bien amenage au dessus de l`ancien chai , avec vue sur la piscine et la vallee . Tres bon accueil des proprietaires et des anciens metayers. | Apartment located in a Mas (old wine-growing farmhouse in the south), very well arranged above the old cellar, with a view on the swimming pool and the valley.very good reception from the owners and former tenant farmers.

Lovely property with great views of the surrounding vineyards
A really nicely renovated upper floor above storage with all amenities required. Set in peaceful surroundings about two miles out of the quaint village of Muriel-les-Beziers which has a couple good restaurants, a bakery and a Lidl and is only a few miles from a large supermarket and 15 minutes from Bezier. The property had everything we needed to dine in, an indoor barbecue (coal) and a nice terrace to sit out and eat. We made great use of the pool - it isn`t heated but after the initial shock going from heat to cool it was most welcome. Inside plenty of seating and a great big dining table - all very rustic and authentic. The French neighbours were a delight - didn`t speak a word of English but gave us lots of lovely fresh produce from the fields (figs and all the ingredients to make ratatouille!). Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

One month deposit to be paid at time of reservation. This deposit rolls-over to become the security deposit for your stay. Rent to be paid monthly in advance (for rentals in excess of 3 months). The full rental amount is required to be paid prior to arrival for rentals of 3 months or less. €250 monthly provision towards the electricity, heating, water, WiFi and local taxes (€400 per month when the central heating system is used).
