The cottage has been furnished with many vintage pieces sourced by the owners at local antique markets such as the famous Isle sur la Sorgue. The cottage comes with a lovely terrace, large living room and two generous double bedrooms.

What a beautiful place to spend a relaxing winter in Provence, France. The village of Sablet is set within stunning countryside and comes with plenty of local services. Inside the cottage is very comfortable for a couple and has the benefit of a lovely terrace. Sablet is located in the Vauclause department, close to Orange and Avignon and 1 hour from Marseille airport.
The rental is for the entire property. Any shared facilities are listed in the property description. The prices quoted are based on a 6 month rental period. Higher prices may apply to rentals over the summer period and for shorter rentals. Utility bills and communal taxes are payable in addition to the rent.
Le Fer à Cheval located right in the heart of the village of Sablet, Provence. The village comes well-equipped with a bakery, butcher, mini-market, grocer, wine boutique, newsagent, chemist, beautician, hairdressers as well as a post office and a bank with cashpoint. An excellent fresh fish stall and a fresh goats cheese maker visit the village on Thursday mornings and there is a market on Friday mornings. Sablet also has a small health centre with doctors, dentists and physiotherapists.
In the main square, there is a traditional village bar, the perfect place to watch the world go by, or read the paper over your morning coffee and croissant. The bar also serves excellent 'Prix Fixe' lunches. There is also a relaxed family restaurant, "Au Chat Qui Miaule", with a large terrace and beautiful views.
Within a few minutes' drive, there are many other restaurants - from simple establishments serving locally produced, traditional provençal dishes, to Michelin starred places for special occasions.
Trails lead straight from the village up to the 'Dentelles de Montmirail' hills, suitable for both walkers and cyclists, and ranging from a gentle stroll to a six-hour hike.
Not to be missed is a visit to some of the local wineries, which are dotted all around Sablet and its outskirts, all of them happy to show you around and let you sample their wares.
Sablet's location provides a perfect base for exploring Provence as there are places to visit in all directions!
There is a TGV train station in Avignon (35 kms / 30 minutes) with services from London (direct service in summer), Lille, Paris, Brussels and Geneva.

The village of Sablet is located in the North-West corner of the Vauclause department, close to Orange (20 kms) and just North of Avignon (30 kms). The D23 main road runs direct from Sablet to Orange, where you can pick up the A7/A9 motorway (to go North up to Lyon and Paris, South-East to Aix-en-Provence and Marseille or South-West to Nimes, Montpellier and Perpignan).
