This long term rental near Uzes, South of France is an 18th century stone house in a typical Provencal hillside village facing all-day sun. It has a huge walled garden, a swimming pool and a large terrace. The long term rental is in St Maximin which is a few minutes form the wonderful town of Uzes and near the Pont du Gard and Nimes. A great location to visit the sites of the Languedoc region whether on an extended holiday or house hunting.
Available for long term rentals between October to May from €1200 per month + bills.

The entrance hall of this imposing 18th Century village mansion takes you to the central staircase of the house with rooms going off each side.
On the ground floor you will find :
- the fully equipped kitchen with stove, fridge, dishwasher and all dishes glasses etc.
- The kitchen has a long dining table which seats 8-10 people.
- Next to the kitchen there is a lounge with a comfortable sitting area.
On the first floor you will arrive at two bedrooms.
- Bedroom 1 is a large room with a queen size bed and a single bed.
- Just up a couple of steps takes you to Bedroom 2, which contains a Queen size double bed.
- Both bedrooms have views over the square at the front of the house and the pool at the rear.
- There are 2 bathrooms (with shower and toilets), one up a small flight of stairs and the other down a few steps.
On the second floor there are 2 more bedroom.
- The Master bedroom (Bedroom 3), contains a king size bed.
- Just across the landing, you will find Bedroom 4 which is equipped with a set of bunk beds.
- There is a bathroom on this floor which both bedrooms share.
- There is a separate toilet.
Outside: there is a large terrace (89m2) with 2 large marble topped tables and chairs that can seat 20+ people. There is a large swimming pool. Surrounding the pool there are plenty of sun loungers and quiet spaces to relax. There is a large BBQ area. There is an outbuilding at the back of the house which contains the washing machine and clothes line.

Last visited June 2021. This is a great long term rental property close to the lovely town of Uzes in South France. The house is ideal for exploring Provence, Avignon, Nimes and the Pont du Gard. Well equipped and comfortable for a long term rental in the South of France.

UZES (within 5 minutes): A spectacular Duchy with a reining Duke and Duchess. Exciting decoratorshops, Art galleries, Music festival. Dozens of bars and restaurants... A size that allows to get intimate with the quaint medieval streets packed full of history. A fabulous Saturday Market that takes over the whole town, with not only the freshest produce available, but everything else Provence is famous for. Golf 2 minutes for the property.
AVIGNON (25 minutes): Famous for the "Palais des Papes," its summer festival, its museums and ofcourse its "Bridge."
NIMES: Nimes´ Roman arenas almost intact Roman arena holds special events from Corridas (bull fights) to musical festivals.
THE PONT DU GARD (8 minutes): A 2,000 year old, Roman-built aqueduct of grandiose proportions. One of France´s most visited monuments.

There is a TGV train station at Avignon and Nimes. There is a regular bus service from Uzes to both Nimes and Avignon.

Well-equipped
The house has a well-equipped kitchen, a terrace overlooking a salt water pool and spectacular views from just about any room.No a/c. You`ll need your own transportation, but Amanda is a great source for day trips all around Provence. She does cooking classes. Also contacted the home chef to cook us 7 hour lamb and a well-know group of Gypsy musicians to give us a concert. St. Maximin is surrounded by wineries and olive groves. The nearby town of Uzes has a Carrefour for all manner of groceries as well as a market featuring local produce including fabulous cheeses.

Paradise
We have such a lovely time in Amanda`s pocket of paradise. The tranquility and gorgeous views it offers, revitalised us. Amanda is a great host with a lot of local knowledge. The pool is shared between the 2 houses, which added to our holiday as the children all became firm friends! Thank you Amanda. xxx

sensational!!!
What could be better than staying in an 18th Century Maison, situated in a little village in Provence. We enjoyed warm and wonderful hospitality, picturesque surroundings, interesting excursions and wonderful cuisine both at home and out and about. This is the second time we have visited Amanda`s house and we were not disappointed. This time we returned with friends and the 13 days were so much fun. Amanda is such an amazing host!!! Highly recommended!

We came back!
We had to come back to this amazing place after visiting 3 years ago. It is best enjoyed with a larger group and the facilities and accommodation are just perfect for the occasion. The hosts are fantastic, and so much fun to be had in this very special place of French history and 17th century architecture. The pool, dining areas and large decks under shelter or the vines are so relaxing, and there is plenty of room for everyone. The village is very special, and so convenient to all leisure activities or exploring. You will not be disappointed.
