La Chartreuse des Moulins was built in 1870 as a post office stop-over building in the days when letters and parcels were delivered by horse and carts. The building is over 40 metres long and used to provide accommodation for the postal workers and their horses. Today the building provides 350 m² of living accommodation laid out over 2 floors

Ground floor

• The large entrance hall has exposed stone walls, an original stone sink and antique theatre seats.
• The impressive lounge is 40m2 and comes with 3 sofas, a large stone fireplace, exposed stonework and original beams. The room also has reversible air conditioning and a small TV. A small staircase leads up to the first floor.
• Next to the lounge, there is an equally large dining room with solid wooden dining table with seating for 10-12 people.
• The beautiful kitchen comes with many original features including exposed oak beams, vintage cupboard doors, terracotta tiled work surfaces and a large oak table. There is also a modern range cooker, dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer. 
• Bedroom 1 is a lovely large double bedroom, with King-size bed, baby cot, stylish sofa and an original stone fireplace. 2 sets of French windows lead out to the garden.

La Chartreuse des Moulins can be rented on a monthly basis from October to April. The rental prices are based on a an occupancy level of 4-6 people. Additional guests are welcome (there is a total sleeping capacity of 15 guests), but additional charges will apply for extra line and towels, as well as utility costs In addition to the monthly rent, there is a provision of €400 towards the electricity, water, heating, Wi-Fi and a contribution towards the local taxes. Firewood to be purchased separately. Pets may be accepted through prior agreement. The normal minimum stay is 2 months. Rate will depend on seaon and length of stay.
