The cottage is 3km from the Dordogne river, on the borders of the Dordogne and Gironde departments between Bergerac (40km) and Bordeaux (60km). This South-West region of France is known for its sunshine, its natural heritage and its gastronomy.
The World famous vineyards in Saint-Émilion have been producing high quality Bordeaux wines since Roman times. Saint Emilion benefits from gentle south-facing slopes, limestone and clay soils and a mild climate - all perfect for growing vines. Bordeaux airport is 50 mins drive. Bergerac airport in Dordogne is 45 mins.
Saint-Emilion is located mid-way between Bordeaux and Bergerac, close to the town of Libourne. The A89 motorway can be reached in 5 mins.
