L’Oustalnebe is a delightful 18th century stone cottage for long term rentals in the Lot department, next to Dordogne in southern France. This south-facing single storey cottage is set in 12 acres and comes with fabulous panoramic views of the valley below. Although situated in a rural area, the large town of Cahors is just 18 km away.
The Owner is looking for a 'green fingered' long term tenant who will also be keen to maintain the garden and also the large organic allotment next to the cottage (for growing vegetables and fruit).
Available for long term rentals from €750 per month + bills. Minimum rental period is normally 6 months. Pets may be accepted through prior agreement.
The cottage is located adjacent to the Owner's home, but it is detached and the shrubs and trees provide plent of privacy. Inside the cottage is light, bright and airy and benefits from 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a large double glazed veranda. The cottage is accessed via a private lane lined by Cherry trees.

The cottage is available for long term rentals of up to 12 months. In addition to the rent, there is a monthly provision of €175 towards the electricity, water and Wi-Fi. Firewood to be purchased separately. Whilst it is not mandatory for the tenant to maintain the nearby vegetable plot (for home grown organic food or anything else you wish to grow), the Owner will give preference to tenants who are keen gardeners or enthusiasts. The rental price quoted is based on a 12 month lease and the assumption that the tenant will maintain the garden and the terraced plot.

The rental is for the entire property. Any shared facilities are listed in the property description. The prices quoted are based on a 6 month rental period. Higher prices may apply to rentals over the summer period and for shorter rentals. Utility bills and communal taxes are payable in addition to the rent.

Sainte-Alauzie is located 18 km southwest of Cahors, the capital city of the Lot department. Cahors has a good range of shops and services and is renowned for its excellent wines.
The nearby village of Sainte-Alauzie is located at an altitude of 213 meters above the Lendou River valley. The village has a population of 125 inhabitants. Sainte-Alauzie is close to the Causses du Quercy Regional Natural Park and the surrounding area is a delight! There are lush green hills and valleys, dotted with white stone farmhouses and medieval hilltop bastide villages. The countryside is made up of vineyards, fields of sunflowers, maize, garlic, melons, and lavender. The area is perfect for writers, painters walkers, cycling, fishing, birdwatching, stargazing..... and golf nearby.
Local restaurants serve fresh, delicious and modestly priced French cuisine. The region is known for its paté de foie and rich red wines. Wine tasting and visits to wine cellars are easily arranged.
There is a main train station in the nearby town of Cahors.
The cottage is 1 hour 15 mins from Toulouse airport and 1 hour 30 mins to Bergerac/Dordogne airport.
The cottage is located very close to the A20 motorway, which runs up from Toulouse to Cahors, Limoges and onwardsup to Paris (via A71).
