The apartment consists of an open-plan living room, bedroom, bathroom and large balcony.
- In the lounge there is a large flat screen TV, a three-seater sofa and a coffee table. There is a large air conditioning unit in the lounge which can heat/cool the whole apartment. A set of patio doors leads out from the lounge to the balcony.
- The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, a separate fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, induction hob and a full set of cutlery, plates and cooking utensils. There is a small table and stool.
- The bedroom comes with a double bed, bedside cabinets and a fitted wardrobe.
- The bathroom has a full sie bath with overhead shower, wash basin and washing machine. There is a separate toilet.
- There is also storage space with the a vacuum cleaner, ironing board and the iron. The apartment has electric radiators for heating.

- The apartment has a large balcony with views over the swimming pool and countryside beyond. The balcony comes with a table and chairs and is a nice spot for lunch and a glass of wine in the evening.

This apartment on the edge of Carcassonne is an ideal base for a 12 month long stay in France. The apartment would ideally suit a single person or couple. Carcassonne has a good range of restaurants, shops and services and is extremely well-connected with road and rail links and it also has a local airport with international flights.
One month deposit to be paid at time of reservation (this will become the security deposit for your stay). Rent to be paid in advance on the first day of the month (for rentals of 3 months or less, the rent is to be paid in full prior to arrival). This apartment for long term rentals in France is located in a quiet suburb close to the main hospital, just 5 mins drive from the centre of Carcassonne. Carcassonne has everything you need as a base for a long stay in France - great transport links, good shops, excellent restaurants and of course the most magnificent castle in France. The countryside around the Southern French town of Carcassonne, has proved to be a very popular place finding a long term rental property in the last couple of years.
Carcassonne is a town which is split in two halves, separated by the Aude river. The main part of the town is built around the medieval Bastide and is often referred to as the Ville Basse, due to its location below the higher ground on which the castle is built. The best shopping areas are located on Rue de Verdun and Rue Georges Clémenceau, where you will everything from small boutiques, cosmetic and perfume stores, shoe shops, trendy clothes shops, second-hand bookshops, etc. In terms of markets, on Boulevard Barbès, there is a market selling new and second hand clothes and on Place Carnot there is a popular food and general goods market. The market is held at Place Carnot every Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday morning. The Saturday morning market attracts a lot of Organic food producers. Every Saturday there is a large market held at Boulevard Commandant Roumens, which has a range of colourful stalls offering you everything from organic produce, to fruit and vegetables, cheese, local sausages and also a range of clothes of all kinds. Finally, there is also a beautiful covered market in Carcassonne called Les Halles Prosper Montagné. Parts of the market date back to the 17th century.
The second area of Cacassonne is called the Cité and comprises the fortified castle. This the largest fortified town in Europe and it is the second most-visited historic monument in France. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site
The second UNESCO World Heritage Site in Carcassonne, is the Canal du Midi, which flows through the centre of the town on its journey from Toulouse in the West to the Mediterranean coast in the East.
Carcassonne Airport is well serviced by Ryanair with flights from all over Europe.
