Some of these large properties in France can be rented long term for up to 12 months (and longer) but some are reserved for weekly holiday rentals during July and August. These properties are ideal if you are travelling to France with your family, or you are expecting plenty of visitors during your stay.

These larger rental properties are located in the South of France, covering the areas of Languedoc (now Occitanie), Dordogne, Provence and Cote d'Azur. The properties range from old Mansion houses (Maisons de Maitre) to modern villas and Chateaux. We have indicated the pricing for each property, but these rates can vary according to :

• length of stay - for 6 weeks you will be charged double the pro-rata rate for a 6 month long let
• season - mid-Winter rentals are considerably less than rentals during the period June to September. In some cases prices can drop by 60%.
• location - as soon as you get close to the French Riviera, you can expect to pay a minimum of €4000 pcm + bills for a 4-5 bedroom property. The same property in the Gard or Herault would probably be available to rent for €1650 pcm + bills.
