Mas de Nebrouze is a 3 bed farmhouse for rent in Southern France. The farmhouse is located in the Tarn, a beautiful rural department in the centre of Southern France, above Toulouse and Carcassonne. The farmhouse is set amongst woodlands and meadows, at the base of the Montagne Noir - a small mountain range with charming villages, markets, lakes and nature trails.
The farmhouse is available for long term rentals between November to April from €750 per month + bills.
Inside, the house is fully furnished with a mix of modern and antique furniture. The house is laid out on two floors and it comes with gas central heating, a wood burner in the living room and solar power for the hot water. There is Wi-Fi which enables remote working.

Mas de Nebrouze is available for long term rentals between November to April (not available during the summer months). In addition to the rent, there is a monthly provision of €250 towards the electricity, water, Wi-Fi and gas. Pets maybe accepted through prior agreement (and there is a mandatory €150 cleaning fee if pets stay). The minimum rental period is 3 months, although 6 month rentals are preferred).

Last visited: August 2024. This rural famhouse is located in an idyllic spot, surrounded by woodland, meadows and rolling hills. The farmhouse provides the perfect base to enjoy this wonderful part of Southern France. Simply kick back and enjoy a slower pace of life within the beautiful countryside of the Tarn department.
The rental is for the entire property. Any shared facilities are listed in the property description. The prices quoted are based on a 6 month rental period. Higher prices may apply to shorter rentals. Utility bills and communal taxes are payable in addition to the rent.
The farmhouse is located on a small family estate, located around a Petit Chateau (le Barthe de Nébrouze). The nearest town is Soual, which is a 5 minute drive (3 km). Soual has a population of around 2,500 people and provides a variety of shops, restaurants, bars, a supermarket and a DIY store. Saual was a former fortified village and you can still see the original castle gates. The town is located on the on the Via Tolosane (a pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela in Northern Spain).
The former railway tracks into Soual has now been turned into a Voie Vert (a Green path), which provides a cycle path and walking trail through the countryside.
The nearest big town is Castres (15 km), which provides a good range of shops and services. Castres is a rugby-mad town and the local team play in the Top 14 division in France. The team has won the French title 5 times. Castres has a population of around 40,000 people.
The beautiful medieval city of Albi is a 45 mins drive. Albi is classified as an UNESCO World Heritage site and features a stunning cathedral, castle and a museum dedicated to the works of the locally-born painter, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.
The city of Toulouse is 1 hour drive and this serves as the regional administrative centre (for the Occitanie region), as well as providing a centre for commerce, universities, and cultural activities.
There is a train station in Castres (15 km), which provides regional train services to Toulouse and Mazamet.

There is a small airport in Castres, which has domestic flights to Paris.
The town of Soual is located at the crossroads of the N112 main road (which connects Toulouse to Beziers) and the N126 (which runs from Castres to Toulouse). The A62 motorway is 25 mins away.
One month deposit to be paid at time of reservation (this will become the security deposit during the lease period). The rent is to be paid on the first day of each month (or in full before arrival for rentals of 3 months or less). In addition to the rent, there is a monthly provision of €250 towards the electricity, gas, water and Wi-Fi.
Pets maybe accepted through the prior agreement of the Owner. There is a €150 end of stay cleaning fee if pets are accepted.
