This modern eco house for rent long term in South France, comes with 2 bedrooms, a comfortable living room and a large wooden terrace with impressive views towards the Pyrenees. The house was built in 2021 and benefits from high quality insulation which requires little if any heating. The house has large south-facing windows which draw in heat to the house.
The house is located in the small hamlet close to the village of Félines-Minervois and near to the popular Cathar village of Minerve - listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France. Carcassonne is 35 mins drive and Narbonne is 40 mins. The house has a small plunge pool and low maintenance garden. There is parking for 2 cars.
The house is available for long term rentals between October to April from €800 per month + bills. Minimum stay is normally 2 months.

The house is stylishly furnished inside and comes with high quality fixtures and fittings. The design of the house was based on passive solar heating principles, which requires little or no heating throughout the year.
- The living room is simply furnished with a sofa and an armchair. There is a back-up wall heater (but this is rarely used). The full-height sliding patio doors provide access out to the terrace where there is a dining table and easy chairs.
- The kitchen comes equipped with a Samsung induction hob, Bosch fan oven, compact dishwasher, large fridge/freezer and microwave. There is also a washing machine in the house (and access to a clothes dryer can be arranged).
- Bedroom 1 comes with a double bed, open hanging clothes storage and large sliding windows which provide access onto the terrace
- Bedroom 2 is also fitted with a double bed and open hanging clothes storage and has lovely views and access to the terrace.
- The bathroom has a walk-in shower, double wash basins and a WC.
- There is a separate second WC with hand basin.
Outside
- The south-facing terrace is a great space for dining & relaxing. A second dining table is available for the terrace. There are stunning views of the Pyrenees and the local hamlet.
- There is a small plunge pool (2.3m x 3.3m)

If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing base for a few months in the South of France, then this stunning modern property in the hamlet close to Félines-Minervois is an ideal choice. The house is surrounded by some beautiful walks and you will never tire of the views from the terrace towards the snow-capped Pyrenees 80kms in the distance. The nearby village of Rieux-Minervois has a good range of shops, supermarkets and facilities (including a newly built swimming pool). A weekly street market in Olonzac is only 15 mins by car. Carcasonne and Narbonne can each be reached in 40 mins drive and the Mediterranean coast is 50 mins.

The house is located on the edge of a small hamlet (Camplong) which is 5 mins from the village of Félines-Minervois. In the village of Felines-Minervois, there is a cafe-bar which serves meals and drinks, as well as a local store.
